At the School of Engineering we educate future engineers for the 21st century. Our graduates will go out to change the world, directly through the products, services and systems they envision, optimize, and implement, and indirectly through the impact that their products have on ourselves and our environment.
We understand that to support and prepare our students in these endeavors great science and exceptional academic programs are not enough. Our graduates will not only be able to competently navigate our technological environment, but they will come equipped with a deep understanding of our liberal arts traditions, through an emphasis on relevant content in the Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Entrepreneurship.
Our School prepares graduates who recognize the complexity of the world, who appreciate the relationship of their work to society, and who are dedicated to creative enterprises for the good of humankind.
