PUC advertising students are the national winners of the 2014 National Student Advertising Competition (NSAC)! After nine months researching, planning strategy, and executing creative ideas under the mentorship of Prof. Matthew Hansen, team members Courtney Wagner, Nicole DiGiacomo, Chris Magura, Michele Krueger and Lyneice Harris created their campaign titled “Beauty Goes Soul Deep”, for cosmetic giant Mary Kay. “We loved how this campaign reflected the importance of inner beauty and captured the heart of Mary Kay” Sheryl Adkins-Green, Mary Kay Chief Marketing Officer .
Professor Haisu Zhang and his students: Joseph Crisan, Reem Aljar, I-Chun Lee, Weizhi Chen and Hei Longjiang competed in the Great Minds market research competition. The students collaborated to win the third annual Next Generation (NextGen) Competition for their research project, “Crowdfunding and Crowdsourcing as a Dual Process: How Social Media Impact s New Movie Development.” Internationally recognized market research firm GfK sponsored competition. The winning market research as developed originally for a class, instructed by Assistant Professor of Marketing Haisu Zhang.
